Polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) panel is one of crystalline silicon PV modules, which is made from square silicon substrate cut from polycrystalline ingots grown in quartz crucibles. The front surface of the polycrystalline silicon PV panel is covered with micrometer-sized pyramid structures (textures surface) to reduce reflection loss of incident light. The polycrystalline silicon PV panel can be categorized into normal polycrystalline silicon PV panel and half-cell polycrystalline silicon PV panel. Recently, the polycrystalline silicon PV panel is rare on the market. However, there is still a kind of polycrystalline silicon with available size of 156.75 mm, which is widely used in residential and commercial solar power generation system.
